On 12 September, members of the VANGUARD Project from the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP) presented an oral communication at the 12th Conference of HEPA Europe, in Leuven (Belgium).
In the spirit of the conference theme – “Implementing Health-Enhancing Physical Activity research: from science to policy and practice” – the work from the VANGUARD Project described the bespoke development of a physical activity and health course integrated into the undergraduate medical curriculum of the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Porto (ICBAS).
Medical schools and medical doctors are key stakeholders in health-enhancing physical activity promotion and policy development.
