On 6 September, members of the VANGUARD Project from the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP) presented an oral communication at the XVIII Congresso da Associação Portuguesa de Epidemiologia & XLI Reunión Anual de La Sociedad Española de Epidemiología, in Porto (Portugal).
The work provided the results of the auscultation performed on medical students from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Porto regarding the importance and the operational characteristics of a physical activity and health course implementation in their Integrated Master’s degree in Medicine.
Medical students demonstrated a strong awareness of the importance of incorporating physical activity and health content into their undergraduate medical curriculum, and provided guidance for developing and implementing an undergraduate course centered on this subject.
